EARSeL SIG chairperson election for the term 2020 – 2024 – postponed

UPDATE: POSTPONED to 2021 due to the Corona situation!

Dear EARSeL Members and SIG chairpersons,

As you know, the Special Interest groups (SIGs) are the places where the main scientific efforts of EARSeL are concentrated. These SIGs form the foundation of the activities of EARSeL and its “raison d’être”. They encourage co-operation and foster innovative applications of remote sensing.

In 2016 the current SIG chairpersons were elected for a 4 years term and it’s now time to renew these positions. You can find the list of existing SIGs in the folder “Special Interest groups” on the EARSeL website http://www.earsel.org/. This call is also an opportunity for EARSeL members to submit a new SIG. The management of a SIG by two Co-Chairpersons is encouraged. The rules for submission of candidacy and the election process but also the tasks and responsibilities of the SIG Chairpersons are described in the attached documents.

We look forward to your application!

On behalf of the EARSeL Bureau

Jean-Christophe Schyns – EARSeL Vice-President
