It is with great sadness that we have to announce that Prof. Emeritus Preben E. Gudmandsen, one of the founders of EARSeL, passed away on May 2, 2019 **at the proud age of 94. We all lost a highly esteemed university professor, enthusiastic scientist and great friend.
